Leeds No Borders is a grassroots campaign & support group fighting racist immigration controls. We believe that everyone should have the right to freedom of movement and call for an end to deportations and detention.
We are all volunteers and rely on donations. We are an open non-hierarchical group and welcome new people to join us in the struggle. The majority of our group are migrants coming from all over the world.
Together we support each other and call for “No Borders! No Nations! Stop Deportations!”
We are committed to practical solidarity, mutual aid and direct action in the fight against deportations, detention, poverty and racism.
We organise numerous campaigns and demonstrations including monthly protests outside Waterside Home Office reporting centre, monthly socials, film nights, anti-racist reading/discussion group & a letter writing group to people in detention & prison.
We have weekly meetings every Thursday 1pm. Meet at Pafras at St Aiden’s Church Roundhay Road LS8 5QD and walk to the venue together (5 mins away).
We also support individual anti-deportation campaigns, run a signing support project for people signing at Waterside and support people in detention. There are many ways to get involved; new ideas are always welcome. If you are interested in finding out more or have ideas, please get in touch.
