Irregular Arts invite you to take part in an important discussion. This event is for artists, producers, and arts professionals – if you are interested in attending please email jenny@irregulararts.com

Together with artists, producers and collaborators outside the sector, Irregular Arts has been facilitating conversations about consent – about what it means to specific individuals and groups and how artists and arts organisations can be part of building a culture of consent.

After the 2017 revelations that led to the global awareness-raising of #metoowe ask ourselves how much or how little has changed and what we can do to change things?

As artists and activists, we use our practice to engage and challenge, to encourage participation and to provoke.

But whose permission do we seek and whose consent do we need?

And who are we talking to? Who is listening?

How do we consider the consent of our funders, our partners, our fellow-artists, our participants and our audiences when we devise and create our work?

A panel of selected arts professionals will present and discuss their approaches to consent in their practice.

Together we will discuss our sphere of influence, explore how we can challenge entitlement and privilege, and work together to create a manifesto for change.

Join us in launching a movement for change, building consensus and championing a culture of consent in the arts.
