Energy

These groups work toward a world where questions of energy consumption and sustainability are considered in all areas of  society.

Some groups aim to demonstrate and promote the economic benefits of moving toward a more sustainable future; others help individuals and communities to identify and implement meaningful positive change on a more local scale.

Expect to see non-motorised transport, campaigns for cleaner air and against damaging methods of extracting resources and generating energy, and more.

Carbon Conversations Leeds

Carbon Conversations Groups offer a supportive group experience that helps people halve their personal carbon footprint. They deal with the difficulties of change by connecting to values, emotions and identity. The groups are based on a psychological understanding of how people change. Most participants reduce their CO2 emissions by 1 tonne immediately and make plans for long-term reductions, often halving their carbon footprints.
