Energy

These groups work toward a world where questions of energy consumption and sustainability are considered in all areas of  society.

Some groups aim to demonstrate and promote the economic benefits of moving toward a more sustainable future; others help individuals and communities to identify and implement meaningful positive change on a more local scale.

Expect to see non-motorised transport, campaigns for cleaner air and against damaging methods of extracting resources and generating energy, and more.

Carbon Conversations Leeds

Carbon Conversations Groups offer a supportive group experience that helps people overcome the psychological barriers to taking action on the climate emergency. The groups are based on an understanding of how people can change their habits and behaviour and the experience frees people to take action by connecting to their values, emotions and identity. Many participants reduce their CO2 emissions by 1 tonne immediately and make plans for wider social and political actions.
