Our members get involved in many different ways. We run a small food coop in Leeds University union by volunteers getting involved for a couple of hours a week, it is super social, relaxing and engaging.
We also grow food on two allotment plots in the center of Woodhouse Moor (Hyde Park). This is really popular as a down to earth escape from city life; a way of learning and socialising through dirt, growth and fireside cooking.
We also potentially can organise very effective student action on contemporary issues, in the past we have made real social changes on campus and in the wider community through direct action and campaigning. Day to day the majority of volunteers buy tasty organic ethical food from the store.
