To follow on from Melz’ amazing work highlighting the Eurocentric and colonial nature of our curriculum(s) and the institution in general, we want to continue the Why Is My Curriculum White conversation.

The evening will consist of speakers: Dr. Laura Loyola-Hernandez (University of Leeds), Dr. Fozia Bora (University of Leeds), Dr. Patricia Noxolo (University of Birmingham) and Dr. Patricia Daley (University of Oxford). It will highlight the ways in which Geography and other interdisciplinary departments focus on producing, reproducing and perpetuating Eurocentric knowledge and modes of teaching. The aim of the evening is to identify existing issues and practical ways in which we, as students, can begin to diversify our institution, beginning with our curriculum(s).

Co-coordinated by Leeds University Union and co-funded by School of Geography.
