Each year we produce a selection of training sessions, based on what volunteers have asked us for in our Annual Volunteer Survey

We extend our offer of training to anyone volunteering with refugees and asylum seekers, so if you fancy coming along, please email admin@lassn.org.uk, telling us who you are, and where you volunteer and we’ll try and fit you in.

This session is for volunteers who want to feel more confident about supporting people mental health problems to find the right kind of help.
This short course will enable you to:
  • work out what practical support you can offer to someone experiencing mental health difficulties
  • assist them to find the support they want, and to stay engaged with them
  • know what to do in a mental health crisis, and
  • how to look after yourself in the process.

It will be based on the City of Sanctuary Mental Health Resource Pack
