SUMMARY:Mental health: how to help someone find extra support
DESCRIPTION:Each year we produce a selection of training sessions\, based on what volunteers have asked us for in our Annual Volunteer Survey \nWe extend our offer of training to anyone volunteering with refugees and asylum seekers\, so if you fancy coming along\, please email admin@lassn.org.uk\, telling us who you are\, and where you volunteer and we’ll try and fit you in. \nThis session is for volunteers who want to feel more confident about supporting people mental health problems to find the right kind of help.\n\nThis short course will enable you to:\n\n\nwork out what practical support you can offer to someone experiencing mental health difficulties\nassist them to find the support they want\, and to stay engaged with them\nknow what to do in a mental health crisis\, and\nhow to look after yourself in the process.\n\nIt will be based on the City of Sanctuary Mental Health Resource Pack \n\n  \nVenue Phone: 0113 373 1759 \nVenue Email: jo@lassn.org.uk \n
