‘Following our hugely enjoyable first event last year, Come Play With Meand PRS for Music proudly present an evening of discussions and performances celebrating LGBTQ+ people in music.

Prominent key musicians and industry professionals will discuss their own experiences and journeys within the industry on a panel, covering a broad range of topics and allowing opportunity for questions from the audience.

We’re also ridiculously excited to bring you an an interview with two rather amazing artists:

– Debbie Googe (My Bloody ValentinePrimal ScreamThurston Moore)

– Zena “Zee” Davine (of Liverpool Queercore band Queen Zee – described as an “unavoidably loud force for good” by Clash Magazine)

Alongside this, there will be two panel including:

Maya Kally Music – Singer-songwriter, composer

NikNak – DJ, Producer
Sayang – DJ & Producer, Equaliser member and founder of Our Space
Junaid Lama – Musician from West London

Our intention is to broaden participation in Leeds’ multiple music scenes and genres from LGBTQ+ individuals and provide a safe space to share experiences and enjoy performances from artists across different genres.

The event will be FREE to enter and there will be performances throughout the evening featuring key LGBTQ+ performers, also allowing for networking opportunities.
