DESCRIPTION:Hosted by Hyde Park Book Club and 2 others \n‘Following our hugely enjoyable first event last year\, Come Play With Meand PRS for Music proudly present an evening of discussions and performances celebrating LGBTQ+ people in music. \nProminent key musicians and industry professionals will discuss their own experiences and journeys within the industry on a panel\, covering a broad range of topics and allowing opportunity for questions from the audience. \nWe’re also ridiculously excited to bring you an an interview with two rather amazing artists: \n– Debbie Googe (My Bloody Valentine\, Primal Scream\, Thurston Moore) \n– Zena “Zee” Davine (of Liverpool Queercore band Queen Zee – described as an “unavoidably loud force for good” by Clash Magazine) \nAlongside this\, there will be two panel including: \nTony Ereira\, Founder/Director Come Play With Me\nMaxie Gedge\, Communications PRS Foundation @maxiegravy\nAndrew Edwards\, Bass-player The Golden Age of TV\nMaya Kally Music – Singer-songwriter\, composer\nEmmanuel Vass Musician with no. 1 selling album in the Classical Charts + multiple UK / Europe radio plays @MannyVass\nNikNak – DJ\, Producer\nSayang – DJ & Producer\, Equaliser member and founder of Our Space\nJunaid Lama – Musician from West London \nOur intention is to broaden participation in Leeds’ multiple music scenes and genres from LGBTQ+ individuals and provide a safe space to share experiences and enjoy performances from artists across different genres. \nThe event will be FREE to enter and there will be performances throughout the evening featuring key LGBTQ+ performers\, also allowing for networking opportunities. \nFunded by Leeds Inspired & PRS for Music‘ \n
