‘The election of Donald Trump and the seizure of the House and Senate by Republicans has led to an all-out attack on the US working class.
From the Republican Tax Bill which served to hand trillions of dollars to the rich, to the imprisonment of innocent men, woman and children in metal cages by ICE, to the rise of the Alt-Right movement unleashing fascist terror on the streets, the obstacles for the US left may seem insurmountable.
Rising in popularity are figures such as Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Cynthia Nixon, Democrat candidates calling for free healthcare for all and the abolition of ICE. Does this new force in US politics have what it takes to overcome the reactionary forces pitted against it?
We will discuss this and more
