The Socialist Workers Party are committed to fighting for socialism – collective democratic control over industry and society by those who work to produce the wealth in society. We aim to bring together activists from the movement and working class together in a revolutionary party that can help to strengthen the movement, organise people within it and aid them in developing the ideas and strategies that can overthrow capitalism entirely. We are committed to fight for peace, equality, justice, and have played an important role locally since the 1960s (when we were the International Socialists) in supporting working class struggles, and building campaigns against austerity, war, racism and fascism. We hold weekly meetings in Leeds, and have regular local campaigning stalls, and are active in local groups such as the People’s Assembly, Unite the Resistance, Unite Against Fascism and Hands Off Our Homes.
