A 4-day politics, arts and music festival running alongside Labour Party Conference, working to build left power.
Join us in Liverpool for The World Transformed 2018 – a 4-day politics, arts and music festival running alongside the Labour Party Conference, working to build left power both inside and outside of Parliament.
Open to both conference delegates and the public, the festival will host hundreds of speakers, musicians and artists including Shadow Chancellor John McDonnell, political scientist Leo Panitch, theorist Chantal Mouffe, Syriza minister Dimitris Tzanakopoulos, author Hilary Wainwright, Liverpool MP Dan Carden, think tank director Faiza Shaheen and journalist Ash Sarkar – and many more still to be announced!
The festival will take place in venues across the Baltic Triangle – Liverpool’s creative and digital quarter – including a community arts centre, two nightclubs, a former brewery and Liverpool’s only publicly accessible dark room.
Alongside political talks and workshops, The World Transformed 2018 will also host a five a side football tournament, radical walking tours across Liverpool and class war-games, as well as an immersive, city wide cultural programme featuring two 800 capacity parties, day time DJ sets, participatory theatre and guerilla projections across Liverpool.
