We are living in revolutionary times. Capitalism had barely staggered out of the last crisis when the pandemic dealt it a death blow. The situation is slipping out of the hands of the ruling class, and across the globe the masses are beginning to step onto the scene of history.
However, as Trotsky once remarked, “the historical crisis of mankind is reduced to the crisis of proletarian leadership”. It is our task as Marxists to urgently build the forces of Marxism, ready to win the confidence of the masses. Such a task requires a thorough understanding of Marxist theory – the only theory which grasps the historical role of the working class and how to fulfil it.
Therefore, we are happy to invite you to the Leeds Marxists Day School, an online event featuring talks and discussions on the revolutionary ideas of Marxism. Anyone is welcome to come along, regardless of whether you’re a student or a worker – a novice or a revolutionary.
