About farm hacks worldwide: https://farmhack.org/tools

The program for the weekend is coming together nicely, with the weekend set to include a number of ‘live’ build projects, skills shares, tool and woodworking demonstrations, and there will be open space for problem discussion & planning for future hacks. Think wheelbarrow flame weeder, solar kiln and seedbed roler. There will be plenty of space to discuss and develop ideas for future hacks.

Proposed skill share / workshops
Edge tool sharpening and maintenance. Leeds Coppice Workers
Making Ash handles for tools. Leeds Coppice Workers
Scything grass and honing/peening blades. Luke Justice (MVUF)
Building and running a Biochar stove for a market garden and household. Ed Revil
Open Source mapping on the computer.
Fruit Tree Grafting – Ben Lawson (MVUF)

Proposed live design projects
Flame weeder (continued from previous farm hack)
Seedbed Roller – Bike wheel version of Jony’s Selected Seeds
Repairing and super insulating a produce fridge
Solar Kiln for drying fire wood.
Ram pump build

If you have a design project idea please email veg@mvuf.org.uk

We want the event to be open to everyone, but there are costs to cover. If you can afford to pay more than the base ticket price we request that you do, so that we can offer more reduced rate places.

You can click on the ticket price and increase to what you wish to pay. Any money left, after expenses have been covered, will be put aside as a seed fund for future Farm Hack events.

If you can’t afford a ticket, but would like to join us for the weekend, please contact us at veg@mvuf.org.uk to enquire about subsidised places.

Ticket price includes sleeping space in a heated room of the farm and beautifully prepared food, from Friday evening, until Sunday lunch. You are welcome to bring your own food, but cooking facilities on site are limited.
