Each year we produce a selection of training sessions, based on what volunteers have asked us for in our Annual Volunteer Survey

We extend our offer of training to anyone volunteering with refugees and asylum seekers, so if you fancy coming along, please email admin@lassn.org.uk, telling us who you are, and where you volunteer and we’ll try and fit you in.

For volunteers who want to feel more confident about supporting people who receive leave to remain/refugee status.

This short course will enable you to

  • Understand the transition between being an asylum seeker and a refugee
  • Know where to find extra support for the person who has been granted refugee status
  • Know where to find extra self-help resources
  • How to look after yourself in the process.

It will be based on LASSN’s transitionguide.org.uk
