Buddhism originated in a very different time and place, so can it really help us understand the cascading crises that confront us now? What does it mean to be a bodhisattva — or ecosattva — today?
Writer, professor and Zen teacher David R. Loy will be discussing how we can respond appropriately to the ecological emergency, and intersecting social issues — perhaps the greatest challenge that humanity has ever faced. There will be an opportunity to ask David questions and to discuss ideas in small groups. Exceptionally there is a small cost for this event.
