SUMMARY:Ecodharma: Buddhist Teachings for the Precipice (by Jamyang Buddhist Centre Leeds + other) - Kindness Festival Week
DESCRIPTION:Buddhism originated in a very different time and place\, so can it really help us understand the cascading crises that confront us now? What does it mean to be a bodhisattva — or ecosattva — today? \nWriter\, professor and Zen teacher David R. Loy will be discussing how we can respond appropriately to the ecological emergency\, and intersecting social issues — perhaps the greatest challenge that humanity has ever faced.  There will be an opportunity to ask David questions and to discuss ideas in small groups. Exceptionally there is a small cost for this event. \n
