Each year we produce a selection of training sessions, based on what volunteers have asked us for in our Annual Volunteer Survey

We extend our offer of training to anyone volunteering with refugees and asylum seekers, so if you fancy coming along, please email admin@lassn.org.uk, telling us who you are, and where you volunteer and we’ll try and fit you in.

This session is for volunteers who want to feel more confident working with people whose English is limited.

This training is not about teaching English. Instead, this session will look at ways of communicating with people who do not have English as first language or where communication is challenging.

This session will suit people who are looking for new ways to communicate, as well as learning some top tips about the use of hand gestures, humour, pen and paper and mobile phones.
