We are a community woodland group based in Yorkshire, and we aim to reconnect people with woodland, facilitate community ownership and access to woodland, and manage woodland sustainably to enhance biodiversity.
We have a 25 year lease with the Woodland Trust on Briscoe Wood, a 16 acre woodland about 15 miles north of Leeds and 4 miles west of Harrogate that we manage as a community group and run various activities in. It was originally planted as a Millennium wood by members of the local community with a mixture of native broadleaf trees, and we began our lease for Briscoe Wood in March 2017.
We welcome anyone to get involved, come and join in our activities, or independently visit and enjoy Briscoe Wood!
