Workshop – Intuitive making with Edythe Woolley

This 4 hour masterclass will give you an insight into Edythe’s practice and performance making process, while encouraging you to develop your own.

This session will focus on making intuitive performance through a range of creative techniques, such as thematic research, writing and drawing, devising skills, movement and object-based improvisation.

Using water as our stimulus, we will consider how water moves in and beyond our bodies, exploring global warming, rising sea levels and the things that make us sweat. This workshop will encourage us to access, create and delve into our own dreamscapes and imagined worlds.

Edythe combines the mundane and exquisite to create absurd and humorous performances that are visually stimulating and challenging. This workshop, like Edythe’s practice, will draw on elements of sculpture, theatre and DIY performance art.

Open to art makers at all levels, and those with a keen interest in art making. No prior experience necessary.
