A young refugee led event enabling participants to understand and respond better to needs and experiences of children in forced migration.
This one day course, co-designed and co-delivered by a group of young refugees alongside Nola Ellen and Gulwali Passarlay, will provide an introduction to key terminology relating to international new arrival children, the reasons why people flee their home countries and what the journey to safety may involve. It will give a basic overview of the asylum process in the UK from the perspective of children and young people with lived experience.
