We Really Existed & We Really Did This is an apocalyptic folk odyssey through our unstable present: a collection of songs and poems, with readings from Hannah Arendt, Marshall McLuhan, Walter Benjamin, Giorgio Agamben, Rebecca Solnit, Ivan Illich, and others.
These are meditations on time; about life on that rare threshold between one age and another; between a waning past and a potentially catastrophic future. Herein is a space for lamenting endings, loss and collapse, where a growing awareness of the ecological catastrophe we’ve triggered, opens out into a sort of melancholy wonder at our very existence.
