Sheffield Creative Action for Peace and MEDACT are hosting this public meeting with Mitsuko Sonoda, an evacuee from Fukushima who’s written extensively on the continued problems of the nuclear clean-up and lack of government transparency about the continued effects of radiation. Mitsuko was living in Fukushima with her 8 year-old son at the time of the nuclear disaster and chose to evacuate. Alongside many of Fukushima’s mothers she is working to keep children safe, share information, and convey the reality of living with radiation.
The second speaker will be Keith Barnham an Emeritus Professor of Physics at Imperial College London, an expert in energy systems and an author of “The Burning Answer: A User’s Guide to the Solar Revolution”. There will be an opportunity for questions.

The event is free ; there will be a collection towards expenses.
