New Statesman Northern Powerhouse Conference 2019

Following on from our conference in February of this year, we’ll be exploring the key themes of devolution, investment in northern business and infrastructure, transport, education, productivity and the rebalancing of the economy, with leading political and business figures and advocates of the Northern Powerhouse strategy.

The event will host parliamentarians and local government leaders to explore themes and policy areas related to the Northern Powerhouse project through panels, live interviews, speeches and debates. From devolution, infrastructure, metro mayors and the skills challenge, to exploiting the region’s cultural capital and encouraging inward investment, this Spotlight conference will offer a day of insight, bringing together stakeholders and decision-makers from across the public and private sectors to discuss the future of the North.
