Last Wednesday 21 Feb, 120 people held in immigration detention at Yarl’s Wood started a hunger strike. On Monday they started an all-out strike, refusing to work. A group of women have staged a sit-in outside the Home Office department within the centre.
Demands and statements from the hunger strikers are being published on the Detained Voices website, http://www.detainedvoices.com.
JOIN THE SOLIDARITY DEMO. We protested in the snow outside the Home Office on Wednesday evening, now we will flyer people on Briggate.
