The workshop will explore how poets and poetics have been a source of resistance and an act of defiance in the face of colonialism and neo-colonialism. These poetics have created a voice for diasporas through which ethical communities and solidarities can engage with alternative forms of knowledge production and articulate the shared burdens of history that people of colour worldwide carry.
