The cream of local classical music this month:
Jacob Beaman (guitar), Nancy Carter (flute) and the Sospiri Wind Quintet
Jacob Beaman will perform Sonata Op.61 for guitar by Turina (1930) and Verano Porteno by Piazzolla and then be joined by flautist Nancy Carter for Piazolla’s Cafe 1930
The Sospiri Wind Quintet’s programme: Suite for wind quintet by Charles Lefebvre Op.57; White Water Rapids First movement of Roaring Fork quintet for wind instruments by Eric Ewasen; Promenade (Walking the Dog) by Gershwin arr. Lisa Portus
