Café Economique is pleased to announce that the meeting planned on Tuesday April 7th which had been postponed through the coronavirus lock down will now take place on-line.
The speaker is Dr Milena Buchs of the University of Leeds with the title: Postgrowth and wellbeing.
The abstract of her talk (which will be revised in light of the coronavirus situation) is:
The growing postgrowth movement highlights that the climate emergency poses considerable limits to continued economic growth. It advocates economic models without growth and with improved wellbeing for all. But to what extent has the achievement of wellbeing objectives been linked to growth, and how can the wellbeing challenges of moving beyond growth be addressed?
The on-line meeting will be using Zoom. The Zoom app can be readily downloaded for free and then installed. We will be sending out further information shortly on how to join the online meeting and how it is intended to organise the meeting.
[Please email cafe.economique.leeds@gmail.
The meeting will be scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m.
Hope you will be able to join us.
Kind regards, the Cafe Économique organising team
