‘Be Outspoken
If you’re Black, Asian and/or Minority Ethnic (BAME) & LGBTQ then Be Outspoken is especially for you. Be Outspoken is about discussing our identity as a minority community through words. This could include but isn’t limited to; talking about what gives you pride in yourself; any frustrations you’ve had growing up or in daily life now; connecting to your faith and LGBTQ identity. Alternatively, we’d love to see you attend purely as an audience member that wishes to gain some community support.
You can express yourself within a 5-10-minute time frame in two ways at this Alternative Pride Leeds event:
1) Presenting a spoken word piece/song
2) Being a conversation starter.
