DESCRIPTION:Universal credit is nothing short of an attack on ordinary people\, which disproportionately affects women.\nIt is leaving people in greater debt\, homeless and worried as to where the next meal is going to come from.\nUniversal credit is a benefit cut in real terms\, most people are worse off under the new system.\nWe cannot allow Universal Credit to continue.\nSeveral groups have come together in Leeds to organise a campaign against universal credit and to place demands on the local council to alleviate some of the devastation this is causing people.\nIf you want to get involved as part of this campaign then please come along to this meeting to finalise our demands and to plan the next steps in the campaign. \n
