DESCRIPTION:Come chat\, share\, listen\, and get involved in this monthly space for thinking and learning about approaches to transformative justice\, community accountability and harm reduction in our city and our communities. \nThis time\, we’ll be reading chapter one of Sarah Schulman’s “Conflict is Not Abuse: Overstating Harm\, Community Responsibility\, and the Duty of Repair”. Published in 2016\, the book has generated some controversy\, seen by some as a manual on inter-community conflict resolution\, and by others as a conservative take on the impact of harm. \nA full PDF of the book\, as well as previous materials\, is available through bit.ly/2H3azyH. Chapter one is pages 28 to 44. \nThis meeting will be held over Zoom.
