DESCRIPTION:Sign up at http://greendrinksleedsmar19.eventbrite.co.uk \nThe H21 concept is to convert the UK gas distribution network to 100% hydrogen over time thereby decarbonising heat and supporting decarbonisation of electric\, large industrials and transport. This would be achieved using the existing UK gas grid network and technology available across the world today\, whilst maintaining the benefits of gas and the gas networks in the energy mix for the long-term future. \nIf undertaken such a conversion would represent the single biggest contribution to meeting the climate change obligations (it is estimated that 12.5% of the UK would be decarbonised from the conversion of the north of England alone)\, as set out in the UK Climate Change Act 2008. Conversion would also provide opportunities to boost the economy through the energy industry and provide jobs within the STEM industries all of which will ensure that the UK is the world leader in hydrogen conversion. \nStella Matthews has held a number of professional roles within the heritage and education sectors\, developing a social enterprise providing training\, and tutoring at the University of Hull and within the adult education sector. \nAfter completing a traineeship at the National Archives\, Stella worked for Pricewaterhouse Coopers and the NSW Ombudsman. She joined NGN in 2016 and was appointed Project Officer on the H21 suite of projects. \n
