DESCRIPTION:\n\n\n\nJoin award-winning science journalist Angela Saini for a frank discussion on the issues of racism in science and academia.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout this Event\n\n\nThis is a virtual Q&A co-hosted by the University of Leeds and the University of York\, which aims to give participants the opportunity to ask Angela questions on issues of racism in science and academia. We encourage staff and PGR from any faculty to apply. \nAngela’s latest book\, ‘Superior: The Return of Race Science’\, addresses the history and current resurgence of race science. It was named book of the year by the Guardian\, the Financial Times and the Sunday Times\, and won the Transmission Prize. In 2019\, Angela presented a critically acclaimed documentary series on BBC Four on the history and science of eugenics. Angela has also written numerous articles on this topic for publications including Nature\, The Lancet\, New Scientist and the Guardian. \n\n\n\n\n
