DESCRIPTION:“Once again we return outside of Leeds Art Gallery to demand that Leeds City Council votes in favour of communities rather than help line capitalist pockets. \nDespite a 70 week waiting list (minimum*) for residents to be rehomed and the council’s promise to reduce carbon emissions by 70% by 2025\, the council are considering granting planning permission for property investors Pemberstone to needlessly destroy and rebuild 70 homes. We think that is unacceptable. \nOur last demo in June (which you can read more about here: https://www.yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk/news/latest/residents-facing-eviction-due-to-plans-to-demolish-70-leeds-home-protest-in-city-centre-1-9849094) helped spread some awareness. Now what we need is action.
