SUMMARY:Inner South Community Committee Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Community committees hold at least four public meetings a year\, where ward councillors make decisions about services and priorities for the local area. \nCommunity committees also host a series of workshops which consider issues that concern you and explore how you can influence decisions on things such as environmental improvements\, community safety\, health and wellbeing and employment. \nAreas covered by this committee are:\n· Beeston and Holbeck ward\n· Hunslet and Riverside ward\n· Middleton Park ward \nNearer the date\, an agenda and other papers for this meeting will appear here: \nhttp://democracy.leeds.gov.uk/ieListDocuments.aspx?CId=996&MId=9757&Ver=4 \nThe committee also allocates funding every year to both community projects and youth activities. Small grants of up to £500 and large grants over £500 are available. \nOpen Forum\nIn accordance with Paragraphs 4.16 and 4.17 of the Community Committee Procedure Rules\, at the discretion of the Chair a period of up to 10 minutes may be allocated at each ordinary meeting for members of the public to make representations or to ask questions on matters within the terms of reference of the Community Committee. This period of time may be extended at the discretion of the Chair. No member of the public shall speak for more than three minutes in the Open Forum\, except by permission of the Chair. \n
