DESCRIPTION:This year’s IAW will close with a talk given by David Cronin called British Bricks in Israeli Walls.\nIn his talk\, David will look at how Britain laid the foundations for Israel’s brutal apartheid system which is an inevitable part of the life of every Palestinian living in Palestine (Israel) today.\nDavid will remind us of the superpower that made the Zionist regime of today possible. \nDavid Cronin is a journalist\, living in Brussels. He has written for a wide variety of publications\, including The Guardian\, The Wall Street Journal Europe\, The Irish Times\, The Sunday Tribune and The Irish Independent. From 2001 to 2006\, he was the political correspondent of European Voice\, a newspaper then part of The Economist Group. He is also a former correspondent with the Inter Press Service news agency. His latest book is Balfour’s Shadow: A Century of British Support for Zionism and Israel (Pluto\, 2017). His earlier books are Corporate Europe: How Big Business Sets Policies on Food\, Climate and War (Pluto\, 2013) and Europe’s Alliance with Israel: Aiding the Occupation (Pluto\, 2011). \n
