DESCRIPTION:This event is organised by Fossil Free West Yorkshire. \nNOTE: please email fossilfreewypf@gmail.com if you plan to attend \nOn 28 March at Leeds Civic Hall at lunchtime Simon Campbell Skelling is taking a deputation to the council requesting fossil fuel divestment. \nSimon will make a speech and challenge the council to support fossil fuel divestment to be consistent with their other work on climate change. \nThis could be what West Yorkhire Pension Fund needs to be the next New York and divest. This would be brilliant! And Leeds could be the push…. \nWe will meet at 12 noon outside the civic hall dressed as cleaners (if people wish) to ‘clean up the pension fund’ for a fabulous photo stunt and to give out leaflets to councillors as they go in to the meeting. \n
