DESCRIPTION:\n\n\n\nLeeds Community Homes’ festive peer-to-peer group learning social & networking event will take place on Wednesday 11th December in Leeds\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout this Event\n\n\nLeeds Community Homes is in contact with over 30 groups in the region and with support from the Community Led Homes partnership we will develop our hub over the next 19 months. We will be using the money to support 40 groups by March 2021\, helping these community groups to succeed in building or refurbishing affordable homes. \nThe Community Led Homes Enabler Hub Grants Programme aims to expand the network of specialist regional organisations helping groups of local people to develop their own community led housing solutions. Funded by the Community Housing Fund from the Ministry of Housing\, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG). \nThis event is for community led housing groups and consultants to meet: allowing groups and professionals to share experiences\, discuss barriers and propose solutions to accelerate your community led housing project. \nIt’s an informal session for networking & discussing issues that are stopping groups from progressing. There will be a couple of short presentations with a follow up forum to discuss similar barriers that we are seeing groups come up against – for example\, establishing a vision\, finding a site\, finding the right professionals or group decision making. \nThere will be opportunities to speak with Steve Hoey\, James Newton & Jimm Reed from LCH as well as people from LILAC\, Chapeltown cohousing\, YorSpace and other groups in the region. \nPlease come along and share a festive drink and some nibbles with us – there will be some snacks on offer and a drink from the bar. \nWe look forward to seeing you there! \n\n\n\n\n
