DESCRIPTION:Slung Low Big Ideas Event 18.00-19.00 \nFri 20 March \nIn this event\, we’ll hear from a Clean Break artistic director and some of the women who have benefitted from the company’s 40 years of working in the arts & criminal justice sector. Their award-winning work has engaged with crime & justice\, stigma\, as well as the impacts of prison on families. The company includes members who have lived experience\, and the event includes performances of Sweatbox\, by Chloë Moss. \nIt’s not everyone that gets to experience the inside of a prison van – or sweatbox. These vans contain prisoners being transported between courts and prisons\, and the show allows us to encounter the physical realities of the prison van and the women inside it. \n
