DESCRIPTION:How do we create space for self-care amidst the responsibilities of our everyday lives? How do we do this without burdening ourselves with the feelings of guilt that can often arise from thinking we are ‘taking up too much space’ when it comes to taking care of our own needs? \nWhere do we learn the idea that taking on more than our fare share of responsibility is ‘the norm’ as woman\, often tipping into the realm of Martyrdom? \nThese themes will be explored as we take into account how we were ‘Mothered’ ourselves and how this impacts the amount we are willing to Mother ourselves without viewing it as a selfish act. How do we find the right balance in becoming the ‘Devotional Mother’ archetype to our Inner maidens and give ourselves the tender care and self love we need. \nWe encourage you to come speak with your open hearts and minds as we share amongst our growing community circle in trust and love. \nAll women are welcome; our circles are not exclusive to mothers. It is our wish\, through the generated ideas born out of our conversations together\, to broaden our perception of the word ‘Mother’ to a more inclusive\, collaborative and co-creative meaning. \nHere are some more Café Mama dates for your diary. \nSaturday 7th December \nSame time and place – 10.30am – 12.30pm at Inkwell Arts Cafe. \nWe look forward to seeing you!
