SUMMARY:Another Leeds is possible - Leeds Left Unity
DESCRIPTION:Leeds Left  Unity is organising a post election seminar on the political future of Leeds in the aftermath of the General Election. Leeds Labour failed to win back the three seats the Tories held despite some valiant efforts. We have a council that has carried out every Tory cut and has indicated it will carry on doing this. At the same time it is carrying on negotiations with the Tory Government to dilute the powers of Leeds Council. It is however possible to turn the tide and this seminar will discuss in an informal way how this can be done.\n\nIt is being held on Saturday 29 February at noon in Chapeltown. Felicity Dowling a former Liverpool Councillor and national Chair of Left Unity will start the discussion.
